ABOUT

The gallery expands beyond the Milanese walls to inhabit the Apulian territory. Starting from August to November 2022 an array of events of contemporary art has been animating the vibrant region.

Nucré

Nucré is a series of reflections on the Apulian territory’s sites, landscapes, and cultural and anthropological heritage through the gaze of contemporary artists and dialogue with history and collective memory.

The title of the exhibition, Nucré, is a compound word of the dialect terms "nu" + "cré" which represents a recurring vernacular local saying which it is generally indicates "someday", allusion and suggestion used to convey hope, promise, destiny.

The second Edition of NUCRÉ | Contemporary Art Festival, held in the municipality of Ceglie Messapica (Brindisi), will begin on July 22, 2023.
